Out of This World Sweet Potato Casserole
Serves 8–10

This is the sweet potato dish that disappears first from the holiday table. Creamy, lightly spiced sweet potatoes are topped with a crunchy, buttery pecan streusel that adds texture and warmth. It’s indulgent without being overly sweet, and it works just as well for Thanksgiving as it does for a cozy Sunday dinner.

Ingredients

Sweet Potato Base

  • 3 lbs sweet potatoes (about 4–5 large), peeled and cut into 1‑inch chunks

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ½ cup whole milk or evaporated milk

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Pecan Streusel Topping

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  • ½ cup all‑purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
