Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer until smooth. Lower speed and mix in salt, vanilla, flour, and pecans.

  3. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange on the baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.

  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until set but not browned. Watch carefully to avoid overbaking.

  5. First sugar coating: While cookies are still warm, gently roll them in powdered sugar. Place on cooling racks.

  6. Second sugar coating: Once completely cooled, roll again in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.
