Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting

  • 1 tablespoon (12g) baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon (3g) baking soda

  • ¾ teaspoon (4g) fine sea salt (see note)

  • 6 tablespoons (85g) cold salted butter, cubed (plus 2 tbsp melted for brushing)

  • 1¼ cups (300ml) cold buttermilk

Note: If using unsalted butter, increase salt to 1 teaspoon.
