One-Pot Creamy Beef and Garlic Butter Pasta

This dish is the definition of comfort food meets easy weeknight cooking. Tender ground beef and pasta are simmered in a luxurious,  creamy garlic  butter sauce, all made in one pot for minimal cleanup.

Yields: 4-6 servings
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 works well)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 8 oz (about 2 ½ cups) short pasta like penne, rotini, or shells

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 cup  heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish
